Welcome to *NIXEDBLOG 2.0.  After ending the last blog, I decided to start a new blog on wordpress.com instead of through my hosting provider, thus saving space and bandwidth.  I will continually configure this blog until the second issue of THE *NIXED REPORT is published.  This blog has two purposes.

1. Unix: This covers any operating system that is POSIX compliant.  FreeBSD, Mac OS X, the Linux Kernel, and others.  I also write about computers, technology, and more.
2. Overlooked Pop Culture: Whether it’s alternative music, manga, anime, survivalism, political underground movements, and more…. I cover it!  If you don’t see it on the front page of USA Today or on your nightly news broadcast, it’s especially fair game here.  In other words, I’ll write about it.  😉

About Me

My name’s Thomas Holbrook II, and I love writing.  I realized that I could very well do a decent amount of business utilizing freedomware (Free and Open Source Software).  I decided to start an online magazine due to celebrate that fact, and to spread the use of freedomware to the masses as well as perspectives not quite familiar to the general public.  Those alternative perspectives are often covered in a very negative manner in mainstream media and mainstream press, and the audience is left uninformed about the whole story.

For now, that’s all you get until I am done configuring this blog and I publish the second issue of THE *NIXED REPORT.  Thanks for stumbling by.
